Who Are the Leaders?

Doc & Mrs H

Doc (Rev. David Housholder, PhD) and Mrs H (Mrs. Linda Housholder, MS, EdS) Have been involved in missions for many years, leaving for their first term of service in India shortly after they were married in the chapel at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. Doc, who grew up in Woodstock, Illinois, came to Asbury Seminary after completing his BA in Religion at Illinois Wesleyan University. He has received the MDiv and ThM from Asbury Seminary and a PhD in Education from the University of Illinois (in cooperation with the University of Madras in Chennai, India) and is an ordained minister of the Free Methodist Church. Mrs H grew up on a farm near Moffitt, North Dakota, then went to Asbury College where she studied Education and Psychology. She has a BA from Asbury and the MS and EdS in Counseling from Georgia State University and a Diploma in Christian Counseling from the Psychological Studies Institute.

Doc and Mrs H did short term mission service before getting married then went to India in 1967 to begin their 27 years of overseas service in India, Thailand, and Nepal, first under Operation Mobilization, then (for the last 33 years) with Interserve. Since the mid 90's their main task in Interserve has been to lead the EthnoServe program which extends the ministry of Interserve to immigrants settling in the USA

The Housholders live in Marietta, Georgia and have two grown, married, children, Paul and Rebecca, and five grandchildren.

Mrs. Cindy

Mrs. Cindy (Mrs Robby Clark) lives in Winder, Georgia. She has three children (Caleb, Sarah, and Rachel). She is a leader in the Christian Education program of her church and got started with the RAD Project when her son, Caleb, was in the program and told her of the need for volunteers. She is the administrator for the RAD project, handling the details of organization.

In February of 2008 Mrs. Cindy (and her mother) joined the Housholders in Bangalore, India to teach Christian Education at the South Asia Institute for Advanced Christian Studies.

Shashi & Asavari

Shashi (Shashidar Jatiani, PhD) and Asavari (Asavari Jatiani, PhD) are both post-grad Research Fellows at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Housholders met Shashi when he came to Woodstock School in India (where the Housholders were teaching) starting in 7th grade. Shashi participated in the shorter (weekend) Religious Education Retreats (RE Treats) the Housholders led at Woodstock. So, Shashi knew how some things like the Multi-Mega-Giga Game are done at camp. When they came to the USA the Housholders urged them to come participate in the RAD Project. They live in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. Sadly, Shashi and Asavari will not be able to make it for RAD 2009.

Kimberlee Tate

Kimberlee started in the RAD Project as a camper but when she could have gone into the Youth Program she stayed on as a RAD Team member. Her work was so valuable that after a couple of years on RAD Team the leaders invited her to serve as RAD Captain. Kimberlee now serves on the RAD Staff doing various jobs which includes supervising the entire RAD Team program.

Kimberlee is a student at Asbury College located in Wilmore, KY.
